Bone and Joint Laboratory of the Orthopedic Research Center, with a space of more than two hundred square meters, is located on the groundfloor of the library building of the Qaem Educational, Research, and Therapeutic Center. The laboratory was opened on May 1, 2018, with Dr. Ali Moradi serving as the director and Dr. Nafiseh Jirofti as the manager. An interdisciplinary approach is used in all our research projects. Thanks to the membership of our team, which includes surgeons, tissue engineers, biomedical engineers (specializing in biomechanics, biomaterials, and bioelectric), and physiotherapists, enables us to address all the scientific aspects of orthopedics. The commitment of our research to translate laboratory resultsinto a patient-specific therapeutic strategy is key. To accelerate the transition from our pilot and prototype work to commercial solutions, we count on a strong network inside the Bone and Joint Academic Lab, developing our projects with top global research institutes, and working with industry.
