Dr. Majid Shahbazi received his Ph.D from the Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2016. Currently, he is an assistant professor of Physical Therapy at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. His research focuses on clinical questions related to the enhancement of prevention, assessment, and management of the biomechanical aspects of spine disorders, especially the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex. His interest in evidence-based practice has led him to conduct and collaborate on research projects in four main areas. First, develop a new model for diagnosis and treatment based on functional movement impairment. Second, conducting Randomized Clinical Trials (RCT) on patients with musculoskeletal conditions to find the best and most effective method to alleviate pain-related disabilities in relation to the new model. Third, conducting studies to expand the use of dry needling techniques, Kinesio taping, exercise therapy, and manual treatments in musculoskeletal lesions, especially mechanical spine disorders. Fourth, investigating the concept of postural control in low back pain and the impact of the classification of LBP patients on postural control parameters and rehabilitation programs in patients with musculoskeletal injury He is an international reviewer for more than 5 international journals (ISI, PubMed). He supervised more than 5 proposals, was the author of one book, and made 10 presentations in the proceedings of international and national congresses. He has more than 20 years of experience managing patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
