Dr. Azadeh Ghouchani received her BSc in biomedical engineering in two majors, i.e. biomechanics and biomaterials, in 2008 and 2012 respectively, from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT). She continued her studies in the field of biomechanics and received her MSc and PhD in 2010 and 2019, respectively, from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), and her master thesis and doctoral dissertation focused on the field of orthopedic biomechanics. She is currently an assistant professor at the faculty of engineering, biomedical engineering group at University of Isfahan (UI). Before joining UI, she was an assistant professor at faculty of engineering, biomedical engineering group at Islamic Azad University of Mashhad (IAUM). Dr. Ghouchani is on the editorial board of the Archives of Bone and Joint Surgery (ABJS) journal. She has supervised more than 20 BSc and 3 MSc projects, and published more than 10 journal articles. Her research interests are in the areas of bone mechanics and injuries, computational biomechanics, orthopedic biomechanics, finite element analysis, musculoskeletal modeling, and fracture risk assessment.
