Dr. Hassan Mehrad-Majd received his PhD degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS), Tehran, Iran in 2013. He conducted his PhD thesis on the association of various molecular variations with metabolic related disorders in research institute for gastroenterology and liver diseases. After graduating, he worked as assistant professor in Neyshabour University of Medical Sciences for around two years. In February 2016, he started collaboration with MUMS as Assistant Professor and currently is the Executive Director of Clinical Research Development Unit, member of molecular pathology research center, member of Clinical trial monitoring committee, and member of comprehensive center for stem cells. He is also on the editorial board of the Reviews in Clinical Medicine (RCM) journal, and methodologist of the Archives of Bone and Joint Surgery (ABJS). He has supervised more than hundred proposals, published 88 journal articles, and co-authored 1 published book. He is interested in using experimental and bioinformatics-based approaches to explore and validate the potential molecular biomarkers for early detection or prognosis of complex traits or diseases.
