Dr. Omid Shahpari, MD

Dr. Shahpari received his MD from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) in 2005 and general orthopedics from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) in 2011, where he is currently an assisstant professor of Orthopedics. From 2007-2011, he was a resident of Orthopedic Surgery in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. From 2015-2016, he was a fellow of Hip and pelvis in Austria, Greece and Germany. He received his hip preservation fellowship from Austria (Stolz alpe), hip and knee reconstruction fellowship from Greece (N. Ionia General hospital) and hip and knee revision surgery fellowship from Germany (Kliniken Nordoberpfalz). He is the director of hip and pelvis surgery in MUMS and a member of Orthopedic Research Center in Ghaem Hospital. He is also on the editorial board of the Archives of Bone and Joint Surgery (ABJS) journal. He has supervised more than twenty-five proposals, published 18 journal articles, and registered 1 national patent. He has more than 10 years of experience in General Orthopedics and 5 years of experience in Hip Surgery. His research interests are in the areas of hip surgery, pelvis biomechanics, hip prosthesis biomechanics and complicated hip fractures.
