Afsaneh Jahani is Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at Semnan University, currently she is a researcher at Orthopedics Research Center (ORC). She received her master degree in Nanomaterials Engineering (Nanotechnology) from Materials and Energy Research Center (MERC), one of the most distinguished Institutes in Iran (2013-2016). In PhD period, she focused on “Fabrication and characterization of drug-loaded 3D printed scaffolds for bone and cartilage tissue engineering applications”. Also, she was UV-visible and FTIR device Operator at Materials and Energy Research Institute. She is skilled in various fields such as synthesis polymeric nanoparticles, synthesis ceramic nanoparticles, 3D printing, lyophilize method, electrospinning method and drug delivery system for tissue engineering applications. Also, she expert on extraction of mesenchymal stem cell, 2D and 3D cell culture in biotechnology field. Her research interests are in interdisciplinary areas of Orthopedics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, and Tissue engineering. She has authored over 15 ISI articles in the field of tissue engineering and has co-authored a book on corrosion protective methods.
